Design and the Studio
How does the Design Studio work?
You enter your email, upload a logo and describe the team. The Studio then drafts a collection across the eight products, saves it under your name and sends you a link to it. Before anything goes to production, a designer on our team finishes the work. Open the Studio.
Is design free?
Yes. The Studio proposal and every round with a designer cost nothing on top of the per-piece price. A simple tee with one print is $17.02, and that's with the design done.
Do I need finished artwork to start?
No. A logo file and one sentence about the team is enough to start. Because our designers redraw every logo for thread, a 300 dpi PNG works if that's what you have, though vector (SVG, AI, EPS) gives the cleanest thread.
Can my whole team review designs before we order?
Yes. Every collection gets a share link that teammates open to comment and to enter their own sizes. That puts approval and the size run in one place instead of a spreadsheet.
Can you match our exact brand colors?
In print, yes, because DTF prints the colors in your file directly. Embroidery uses the nearest thread color instead. If the match matters, check the thread on a sample set before the bulk run, and read Brand Guidelines for Merch for the details.
Pricing and how to order
What do the products cost?
Each piece is the garment rate plus one fee for each decoration method on it. With one DTF print, a simple T-Shirt is $17.02, a Pique Polo $20.18, a simple Hoodie $23.96 and a Zip Hoodie $25.22. A Button-Up Shirt is $28.37 and a Cap $10.85. The Sweatshirt and the Beanie are priced in one business day, and so are embroidery, screen printing and patches. Design and name-sleeved packaging are included, and the price is the same from XS to 4XL.
Are there volume discounts?
Yes. You get 12% off at 50 pieces and 22% off at 150, counted across the whole order. 100 polos plus 50 caps is 150 pieces, which puts everything in that order at −22%, and the pricing guide has more worked examples.
What are the minimum order quantities?
Orders start at 15 pieces, in any mix of sizes. For fewer than 15, tell us what you have in mind and we'll say whether we can do it.
Are there setup fees or size surcharges?
No. The per-piece price already holds the decoration fee, the design and the name-sleeved packaging, and a 4XL costs the same as a small.
How do reorders work?
Email us the sizes and the quantity. Your design and size history stay on file with us between orders. 98% of teams reorder.
Production and quality control
How long does an order take?
Start 8 to 10 weeks ahead of the date you need the order. The design and approval stage is about two weeks and moves at your pace. Production is three weeks from the day you approve your design, shipping is another two, and the eighth week is buffer. A sample first makes it ten, and the buying guide has the week-by-week plan.
Can I get a sample first?
Yes. We'll make a sample set before the bulk run if you ask. It's paid and takes about two weeks, and you get to judge the fabric and the fit with the pieces in your hands.
What sizes do you offer?
XS to 4XL on every product, at one price in every size. Polos come in a straight and a tailored cut, and the measurements are in the sizing guide.
What decoration methods do you offer?
Embroidery, DTF print, DTG print and vinyl, and screen printing is also available. Ask us which garments suit it. Every piece takes embroidery and a DTF print, polos included, and the beanie carries its print as a printed label patch. Caps and beanies can take a sewn-on patch too. We offer sublimation as well, but it only works on polyester and none of our eight garments is polyester. The decoration guide says which method goes on which garment.
How is quality controlled?
By hand, piece by piece. It's our own production, on OEKO-TEX certified fabrics. We check every garment against the design you approved before it's packed, and anything with a crooked stitch goes back.
What if something arrives defective?
We remake it free. Report the defect within 30 days with a photo and a replacement ships at no charge. The full terms are in Shipping & Returns.
Where we ship and what we take back
Where do you ship?
Within the US only, for now. Shipping is free once the order reaches 50 pieces or $2,000 after discount. Below that it's on the quote, so the number you sign off is the number you pay.
Can you ship to individual team members' homes?
Yes. Every piece arrives sleeved with the wearer's name, so an order can go to one address or be split between each person's home, which is how remote teams run onboarding kits.
Can I return custom apparel?
Not for a change of mind, because each piece is made to your design. Defects are covered by the 30-day remake guarantee, and the terms are in Shipping & Returns.
How do I track my order?
Ask us. Email hello@affirmgear.com and a person who knows your order replies within one business day with where it stands.
