Custom embroidery for team apparel.

We embroider all eight garments we make, and we price the stitching in one business day. A mark on the left chest takes 5,000 to 12,000 stitches in up to 12 thread colors, with lettering down to 5 mm.

Which garments take embroidery

Every garment we make takes embroidery. It's the default on the oxford shirt and the cap, and the right call for any small mark on cotton or fleece. Thread goes through the fabric, and that leaves nothing to crack or peel.

Meridian Capital's polos carry a navy tone-on-tone micro-check and one brass-thread monogram, and partners ask for the piece. Crest & Co. runs an oxblood serif mark on an oatmeal hoodie, which is their most-photographed asset.

Embroidery is for logos and wordmarks up to about 4 in wide. Back graphics and gradients go to print, as does any lettering under 5 mm, which thread can't hold. Every garment takes print as well as thread, polos included, and a hoodie can carry a stitched chest and a printed back. The DTF printing page covers the print side. Screen printing is offered too, and we can tell you which garments suit it.

What to send.1. The logo. Vector (SVG, AI, EPS) if you have it. A 300 dpi PNG works. 2. Brand colors. 3. The garments and garment colors you want to see. 4. A placement, or "you choose." 5. A rough headcount. That's everything a designer needs to digitize the mark.

From logo to stitched order

  1. Enter your email and upload the logo in the Design Studio. Describe the team, and the Studio designs a collection across all eight products with your mark placed, saves it under your name and gives you a link.
  2. A designer digitizes it for thread. Digitizing turns a picture into stitch instructions, with thin lines thickened and lettering set to at least 5 mm. A designer on our team does this on every order, with no setup or art fee.
  3. We stitch the order. We check every piece by hand before it's sleeved with the wearer's name, then ship it to you within the US.

When you reorder, your design and size history are already on file, and all we need is the quantity.

Tonal thread, a shade off the garment color, is what we propose first for finance and professional-services teams. Contrast thread suits people who need to be found across a room, such as front desks and site crews. For the polo, the full walkthrough is in Custom Embroidered Polo Shirts: From Logo to Stitch.

How an embroidered piece is priced

Each embroidered piece costs the garment rate above plus one embroidery fee, however many places we stitch it. We price that fee in one business day, and digitizing, the name sleeve and every thread color come with it. 50 pieces takes 12% off the whole order and 150 pieces takes 22%. Fifty embroidered polos start from the $16.40 polo rate and 150 embroidered caps from the $8.83 cap rate, and both orders ship free. If you need a firm number sooner, a polo with one DTF print is $20.18, or $17.76 each at 50 pieces. Every garment rate is on the pricing page.

Embroidery questions we get.

How much does custom embroidery cost?

We price it in one business day. Each embroidered piece is the garment rate plus one embroidery fee, however many places we stitch, with no setup fee or per-color charge. Digitizing and the name-sleeved packaging come with it. The polo rate is $16.40 before that fee, and 50 pieces takes 12% off the whole order.

What are the embroidery specs?

We use a raised satin stitch, which is permanent and outlives the garment. A left-chest logo is 5,000 to 12,000 stitches with up to 12 thread colors, and lettering has to be at least 5 mm tall. Caps take flat or 3D embroidery, and the beanie is stitched on the cuff.

Do I need to digitize my logo before ordering?

No. Send the file you have. Vector gives the cleanest thread, and a 300 dpi PNG works. A designer on our team redraws the mark for thread and matches your colors.

How long does an embroidered order take?

An embroidered order takes three weeks to make once you approve the design, and two more to reach you. Because the design stage comes before that and moves at your pace, we tell buyers to begin 8 to 10 weeks out.
