Vinyl heat transfer for team apparel.
We cut your lettering or logo from vinyl and heat-press it onto the garment. It's the method for names and numbers, and for a mark in one or two colors. Vinyl goes on every garment we make except the beanie, the cap included, and it adds $3.03 to a piece, so a simple tee with vinyl is $16.27.
How vinyl heat transfer works
The design is cut from a sheet of colored vinyl, the excess around each letter is peeled away, and a heat press fixes what's left onto the garment. Each color is its own cut layer, which is why vinyl suits a mark in one or two colors.
Artwork with a gradient, a photo or a long palette goes to a DTF or DTG print instead. Either one prints full color for $3.78 a piece.

Jobs that suit vinyl
Vinyl handles lettering and flat shapes. Think of a name across the back of a tee, a number on a sleeve, a short wordmark on a polo chest or a simple mark on the front panel of a cap.
It also pairs with print on one piece. A simple tee with a DTF print on the front and vinyl lettering on the back is $20.05, the $13.24 rate plus $3.78 for the print and $3.03 for the vinyl.
Prices and placements by garment
| Product | With vinyl | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| T-Shirt | $16.27 simple, $19.43 drop shoulder | Full back, full front or left chest. A sleeve as a second spot. |
| Pique Polo | $19.43 | Left or right chest, or the full back. A sleeve as a second spot. |
| Hoodie | $23.21 simple, $26.99 oversized | Full back, full front or left chest. A sleeve as a second spot. |
| Zip Hoodie | $24.47 | Full back, or the left or right chest. The zip splits a center mark. |
| Sweatshirt | Priced in one business day | Full back, full front or left chest. |
| Button-Up Shirt | $27.62 | Left chest, upper back or the left cuff. |
| Cap | $11.86 | Front panel, or a side panel. |
The beanie is the one piece we don't put vinyl on. It takes cuff embroidery, a printed label or a sewn-on patch instead.
Artwork that cuts cleanly
- Vector (SVG, AI, EPS) suits vinyl well, because the cut follows the outlines in the file.
- A 300 dpi PNG works too. A designer on our team redraws it as clean outlines, and that's part of the included design.
- Send your brand colors with the file, and the proof shows the vinyl colors on the garment before you approve anything.
- Thin strokes and tiny type are hard to cut, and the designer flags them on the proof.
Once you approve the design, the order takes three weeks to make and another two to reach you within the US. Plan on 8 to 10 weeks before your date, since the design stage moves at your pace.
How to wash a piece with vinyl on it
Turn it inside out and wash cold, dry it on low or on a line, and don't run an iron over the vinyl. We don't publish a wash rating for vinyl. Report any defect within 30 days with a photo, and we remake the piece free.
What vinyl orders cost at each tier
One $3.03 fee covers every place we put vinyl on a piece. A polo with a mark on the chest and a name across the back pays it once and costs $19.43.
Thirty of those polos come to 30 × $19.43 = $582.90, and under 50 pieces the shipping cost is on the quote. An order of 20 polos and 30 vinyl caps reaches 50 pieces, which takes 12% off both lines: 20 × $17.10 = $342 and 30 × $10.44 = $313.20, or $655.20 with free shipping.
At 150 pieces the discount is 22%, and a simple tee with vinyl drops to $12.69. Orders start at 15 pieces, and every rate is on the pricing page.

Vinyl questions we get
What is vinyl heat transfer?
It's lettering or a logo cut from colored vinyl and heat-pressed onto the garment. It suits names and numbers, and marks in one or two colors. We put it on every garment we make except the beanie.
How much does vinyl cost per piece?
Vinyl adds $3.03 to the garment rate, on the cap too, however many places it covers. A simple tee with vinyl is $16.27 and a cap is $11.86. Once the order reaches 50 pieces, 12% comes off every piece in it.
Can one piece have vinyl and a print?
Yes. Each method adds its own fee, so a simple tee with a DTF front and a vinyl back is $20.05. In an order of 50 pieces or more, that tee comes to $17.64.
How long does vinyl last?
We don't publish a wash rating for vinyl. Wash it cold and inside out, and keep the iron away from it. If a piece has a defect, a photo sent within 30 days gets it remade free.
Can vinyl do a logo with many colors?
No. Vinyl suits one or two colors because each color is its own cut layer. For a full-color logo, a DTF or DTG print adds $3.78 a piece and prints any number of colors for that one fee.
